With the appointment of two industry heavyweights to their senior strategy team, Summerhall – the Edinburgh based marketing support company – continues its growth as an important business process outhouse providing cross-media solutions, and makes a bold statement as to how the future is to be shaped.
Andrew Chrystal has joined with a remit for New Business Development. His role is to bring his 20 years of experience in the industry to Summerhall as it refines its expanded proposition of offering single-source solutions, - enabling it to target corporate business throughout the UK. Working at Astron for many years, Andrew was a key player in shaping it as one of the country’s most successful PM companies. That was followed by a period at Howitt helping them transform from a capital intensive manufacturing organisation to one focusing on service driven business process outsourcing. ‘I have genuine enthusiasm for getting involved in an organisation which has the foresight to understand that investment in new technologies is vital, and my aim for Summerhall is to invest in whatever of these technologies will ultimately deliver the best ROI to our customers – be it print, web or cross-media.’
John Shaw joins with responsibility for Marketing. Having spent 25 years working in the creative industries sector – and 5 years previously in client marketing roles – John brings a heavyweight expertise and knowledge of both the client and service industry sides of the marketing discipline. He has a first hand understanding of what motivates the client purchasing decision allied to an uncompromising approach to the highest standards of delivery and service. ‘It had to be an exceptional opportunity that would tempt me back into a hands-on role in the marketing services sector, but Summerhall is an exceptional company! Growth has been rapid and successful, so the organisation is now at a stage where a marketing strategist is no longer a luxury but an essential. The next two years are going to see Summerhall mature into the preferred provider of choice for a great number of blue-chip UK clients.’ |
