Imaging and Scanning

With our traditional expertise in colour management the speed, convenience and quality of digital photography can be used without worry or concern and referenced to the standards required for quality print. Transparencies and artwork can be scanned and digitised utilising flat bed and high quality drum scanning ensuring a high quality result.

We can help you through the complex procedures of colour and swatch matching with calibrated colour monitoring and viewing equipment ensuring accurate reproduction of your brand or product. There is no need to worry if you would like to change a colour dramatically or remove bad marks or scratches from your material as our experts can carry out this work for you.

Our expertise will enable you to add additional colours to photography and brand colours to give it that really special look. The special Stacatto reproduction technology uses a stochastic screening approach and removes the traditional limitations of screening with half tone dots, and take additional benefit from multi colour printing.

Workflow

Our Creo Prinergy production workflow is a flexible and efficient method of addressing the varied PC or Macintosh file formats and software applications that proliferate, reducing errors and creating a rock solid standard through all process stages ensuring your print is exactly what you expect and that there are no surprises. Full integration into all hard copy proofing solutions and Synapse InSite online e-proofing and approval methods is ensured and managed throughout the whole process. Leading edge imposition and multi-colour trapping applications are included and controllable at every stage.

Proofing

Proofing is perhaps the most important communication and risk reduction tool for pre-press and creative professionals. The more accurate the proof, the lower the risk of issues arising as a project moves forward. We have several solutions for precise predictable proofing that feature the latest imaging technology, fully integrated colour management, open workflow connectivity and quality assured proofing media.

These proofing solutions are tightly integrated into our Creo Prinergy workflow offering end to end colour management automation and job control. Whether you require an Iris Wide proof to check imposition and create a folded dummy or a contract proof to accurately predict on-press results there is a solution for you.

E-proofing

To bring you even closer to the production cycle and extend the geographic reach of comment and correction we have the Synapse InSite e-proofing system. This system is an internet portal that connects you to our Creo Prinergy workflow. From any internet connected computer you can submit jobs, initiate processing, track project progress, proof print jobs online, collaborate with creative and pre-press staff on changes and approve work. Synapse InSite is an effective tool for extending the geographic reach, reducing job cycle times and material costs.

Computer to Plate

The Prinergy workflow utilises the ‘ROOM’ (rip once output many principle) ensuring that output to all devices is assured and unchanged from the proofing stages. The final stage prior to print is to transfer all data accurately to the printing plates that will be used on press. This is done with our two Trendsetter Quantum 800's computer to plate output devices using SQUAREspot technology. This in conjunction with FM screening ensures precise, consistent and predictable results enabling greater on-press stability, increased inking efficiencies, more stable and smoother half tones and tints and increased colour gamut from process colours.
